Farewell to Elizabeth Hole
After an exciting and productive 5 years Elizabeth Hole is leaving Bicycle NSW. Liz joined the organisation initially to manage promotion and customer service for the 2007 NSW Big Ride. From there Liz progressed through roles encompassing BUGs and Advocacy, Ride Leader Training, Government and Stakeholder Engagement, and overall organisational Operations. Click here for more details
Centennial Parklands safety improvement project
Bicycle NSW has prepared a submission to the Centennial Parklands Trust in relation to the proposed Grand Drive safety improvement project. There is considerable concern in the bicycle community over the proposals and we thank our Members and Bugs for their engagement in providing useful feedback to Bicycle NSW and also in sending well worded submissions direct to the Trust. In addition we are very grateful for the work of the Cycle Centennial group and we have endorsed the Collective Submission they have made on behalf of 11 Cycling Clubs who make regular use of the park and have included it as a valuable Appendix. By way of further information there is a Media Release on this subject from the Hon Robyn Parker MP, NSW Minister for the Environment and Minister for Heritage.
