Saturday 24 October

Join people all over the world and help make a human sign spelling out 350 for a safe climate future. Manly, Warringah and Pittwater Climate Change groups, including Clean Energy For Eternity, are organising three events at 3.00pm on Saturday 24 October 24 as part of an international call to action on climate change.

Locations: North Steyne, Dee Why or Mona Vale.

Humane Society International launches cycling event

Humane Society International (HSI) is seeking participants for a major fundraising challenge taking place in March 2010. The event is a bike ride from Rajasthan (near Delhi) to Agra in India to raise funds for Wildlife SOS to help rescue and rehabilitate India’s dancing bears.

NSW Bike Week is a state-wide NSW Government initiative that raises the profile of cycling as a healthy, easy, low cost and environmentally friendly alternative to driving for short trips in your local community. NSW Bike Week provides an opportunity for the local community to participate in organised bicycle events in a safe and supported environment. Participation is aimed at all members of the community, with a particular emphasis on encouraging new cyclists.
