What We'll Do
The first thing we will do with your report is confirm that there is a problem, and document it. We do this by sending a volunteer to the designated spot with a camera, and marking the intersections where signs would be necessary or what steps to take to make better use of the signs already there.
The pictures and descriptions will be written up as part of a missing sign report. This report will be sent to the council the sign is in, or the RTA, depending on which group would take responsibility for the problem. You can assume that after a sign turns yellow on the missing signs view, it is at this stage of the process.
Finally, the RTA or the council in question will hopefully respond by making the requested changes. If the sign is posted, we'll turn the marker green.
How You Can Help
This process is not a fast one, but there are ways that you can help. If you give your email as part of your sign submission, we will immediately contact you. If you send us pictures giving us further details of the nature of the missing sign, along with the exact places the pictures were taken, we will confirm it and compile a report immediately. After this, we will keep you up to date on what is being done about that particular sign.
Happy searching!
