Services

Bike Storage

Is a wholly Australian owned venture using Australian made products and materials to deliver quality bike parking systems whether you're after a dedicated shed, cage or want to retrofit a basement, car park or room.
Our approach means we manage the whole project from start to finish taking the hassle out of finding quality products and quality installers.
Unlike other companies we offer a unique service because we analyse your space, design the most suitable system and install the racks and infrastructure. We've done extensive materials and product research to come up with the most durable, aesthetically pleasing and penetration resistant security systems available.
Our designs minimise materials use whilst maximising security.
And we use Bicycle Victoria's racking products because they meet Australian standards AS2890.3 and we believe they're the best value for money and user friendly product currently available.

Ride Leader Training Courses

Following the success of the 2008 Ride Leader Training Courses, Bicycle NSW will be planning more courses for 2009. The aim of the Ride Leader Training course is to increase levels of knowledge and skill in leading recreational rides. By increasing the level of knowledge and skill among a greater number of Ride Leaders, Bicycle NSW - consistent with our Mission - seeks to encourage more members of our community to enjoy the benefits of cycling through:
Better organised rides - more satisfaction for participants
Better planned rides - improved levels of safety for participants
Better conducted rides - reduced levels of risk for participants and organisers
The courses are provided free of charge to Bicycle NSW members and includes morning and afternoon tea and lunch. Assessment includes both practical and theory on the day and some pre-course work.
To register your interest in the course, please contact Russell Jones on email russelj@bicyclensw.org.au or phone 9218 5452.

Bikeability Toolkit

The Bikeability Toolkit is a useful resource which can help community groups such as BUGs campaign for better bicycle facilities in their area.
The Bikeability Toolkit is a set of easy to use checklists and resource pack designed to help local communities to plan and build bicycle friendly streets towns and neighbourhoods. The Toolkit can be used by local government officers and councillors, transport professionals and community organisations such as bicycle user groups.
Using the Bikeability Toolkit can help your community to:

  • Better understand and provide for the needs of bicycle riders
  • Improve access to technical guidelines and resources
  • Help you better understand 'good' and 'bad' infrastructure
  • Help determine priorities for capital works & maintenance works programs
  • Develop bike plans and policies to improve cycling infrastructure
  • Ensure better integration of facilities to save costs
  • Develop a better environment for cycling to increase cycling
  • Develop active transport options for all the community to improve health & fitness and to meet sustainability targets.

The toolkit can be downloaded from the Australian Greenhouse Office web site - Bikeability.
