Hands Up! active travel surveys are done each month. Each class records the number of students who walked, rode or were driven to school that morning. Regular monitoring has been shown to hasten behaviour change, because it helps maintain the focus on continual improvement. Teachers have told us that students enjoy the process of being surveyed. Registered schools recieve a unique identity and password allowing them to log into the Hands Up! system.
