Benefits
Becoming part of the program provides you with the capacity and resources to increase awareness about the benefits of active living. The program aims to eliminate the barriers to more students and their families becoming more active often.
"We're not just about riding to school, the program supports schools in all situations to encourage cycling as a positive, healthy activity and provide students with the skills to be responsible riders within their own community."
The program has a number of elements, registered schools can take part in one or all of the activities offered.
All registered schools receive:
Exclusive access to class material and resources
The monthly Bicycle NSW Schools Program newsletter
Exclusive access to the Hands Up! survey system to monitor students travel patterns, track progress and win some great prizes (including bicycles, helmets, cycle computers and more.)
Option to receive an active travel access guide for the school community

All the activities provided by Bicycle NSW come at no cost to the school or students, our program is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing along with a number of other sponsors.
