 Survey of Cycling to Transport Interchanges

The Premier's Council for Active Living (PCAL) is overseeing the preparation of a new NSW BikePlan, with the aim of encouraging more people to use bicycles as a clean and healthy transport choice. A number of NSW Government agencies are helping with this work, including the Roads and Traffic Authority.

By completing this questionnaire and returning it to the RTA in the reply paid envelope provided, you will be helping PCAL to understand better how to encourage cycling and to know where to target additional support for cyclists.

Each completed and returned questionnaire goes into the draw for a $100 voucher for cycling gear and equipment!

New developments: CRAG (Canal Reserve Action Group Inc.) is a community organisation that has as its major objective the protection of the Lower Prospect Canal Reserve, which stretches from Guildford to Prospect Reservoir.
The current focus of the group is a campaign to return a safe cycleway to the reserve, by the construction of a bridge over a new section of the Prospect Highway, which is being constructed across the existing cycleway. Click here for more info. 

On July 10 the NSW Government announced the start of negotiations between Transurban and the RTA on a proposal for an upgrade of the Hills M2 motorway. The ongoing negotiations with the RTA are focused on assessing the upgrade as proposed, agreeing on the scope of works, funding options and determining planning requirements before a detailed environmental assessment and public consultation can begin.BNSW understands that the interests and concerns of cyclists, along with motorists and local residents will be considered throughout the detailed design and construction of the upgrade project.
