About the Bicycle NSW Environmental Trust
As the state's peak cycling body, Bicycle NSW is working to increase the use of bicycles as a means of transport, helping to improve the environment and community health, and increasing recreation and tourism. We achieve these goals by lobbying governments and policy planners for better conditions and facilities for all cyclists, which require funds.
As a not-for-profit organisation, we are reliant on fundraising in its various forms, one of which is through donations to the Bicycle NSW Environmental Trust, to help advance our advocacy role in NSW.
Donations to the Trust will strengthen campaigns to provide for greater cycling facilities for future generations, as well as making a contribution towards the environment and a healthier society.
Objectives of the Trust
The Bicycle NSW Environmental Trust is solely for charitable purposes and its objectives are as follows:
- To conserve and protect the natural environment through the promotion of bicycling as an environmentally beneficial means of transport
- To promote the use of the bicycle as a key element of ecologically sustainable development practices
- To promote bicycle transport as a means of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, improving air and water quality, reducing non – renewable energy consumption, and improving land use
- To promote the use of the bicycle as a healthy, environmentally sustainable means of enhancing accessibility and personal mobility in the community.
How to make a Donation
All donations to the Bicycle NSW Environmental Trust are fully Tax Deductible. As a cyclist or just someone keen to see better conditions for cyclists, considering making a donation to the Trust will help us make a lasting difference for generations to come. Click here to donate.

Types of Donations
· Annual Donation: a yearly donation will be used to help support our cycling advocacy work in NSW
· Monthly Donations: joining a monthly giving program allows us to plan ahead and in addition, a regular monthly gift by credit card or direct debit also reduces the administration costs
· One-off Donations: any gift, large or small, will help us make a lasting difference for future generations
· Workplace & Corporate Donations: there are many different ways in which companies and organisations can support Bicycle NSW, including Corporate Partnerships and General Corporate Donations
Gifts will be placed into the Bicycle NSW Environmental Trust Fund, which will be invested accordingly and the income used to support Bicycle NSW and its advocacy work in NSW, into perpetuity, thus helping to provide long-term security for the organisation.
